Project Overview:

We remodeled this 40 sq. ft. bathroom in Boynton Beach with a focus on creating a brighter, more functional shower layout. The original tub area was converted into a walk-in shower with a full waterproofing system, large-format wall tile, mosaic shower floor tile, updated fixtures, and a custom glass enclosure. A floating vanity with a custom countertop was added to keep the room feeling open, while new lighting and clean finishes helped give the bathroom a modern, finished look. Because the building is located on the water, the project also required careful coordination with HOA rules and permit requirements.

Project Objectives:

  1. Tub-to-Shower Conversion
Removed the existing tub and converted the area into a walk-in shower for easier daily use and a more open bathroom layout.
  2. Waterproofing System Installation
Installed a new waterproofing system behind the shower walls and floor to support long-term performance in a waterfront building.
  3. Shower Tile & Floor Update
Installed large-format shower wall tiles with a mosaic shower floor for texture, contrast, and a clean modern finish.
  4. New Shower Fixtures
Added updated shower fixtures, including a rainfall showerhead, handheld shower, and built-in controls.
  5. Custom Shower Glass Enclosure
Installed a custom glass shower enclosure to keep the space open while giving the shower a clean, finished look.
  6. Floating Vanity & Countertop Installation
Added a floating vanity with a custom countertop to improve storage while keeping the compact bathroom visually light.
  7. Lighting Upgrade
Updated the bathroom lighting to brighten the vanity and shower areas.
  8. HOA & Permit Coordination
Managed the added requirements of working in a waterfront building, including HOA regulations and permit requirements.
